Guides

The Guide Program is a three-year program that can easily be described as "For Fun and Challenge". Girls aged 9-12 years are encouraged and challenged to explore their own abilities and interests through a variety of activities. These activities don't always take place during the weekly 2 hour meetings, many of the activities include camping, community service involvement, games, leadership skills and much more!

As they progress through the program the Guides are encouraged to work on interest badges. These badges are there to challenge the Guide and introduce her to a variety of different experiences. Some of the current interest badges include Computer Skills, Pet Keeper, First Aid, Gardener, Writer and Explorer. They also have the opportunity to explore their community, outdoor environment and personal achievments and the possibilities of their futures. Guides provide experiences that may not have been possible anywhere else, that's what makes Guides so much fun and so exciting!

With the momentum of Guides behind them, many girls are eager to move onto the next level of Guiding and begin to explore opportunities as Pathfinders.
