The Pathfinder's is a great opportunity for girls 12 to 15 years of age
to be apart of the planning process that makes up a large part of the
program. At this age the girls have a more active role in decision
making, problem solving, and planning of the program activities that the
Unit will participate in. No wonder Pathfinders can be described as
"For Fun and Opportunities"!
Within the Pathfinder Program there are activities that are called
challenges that are divided up into Emblems. These emblems are Be
Prepared, Camping, Community, Home, Leadership, Outdoor and World.
There is also the Religion in Life emblem and a Citizenship Certificate
that the Pathfinder is able to earn in addition to the seven emblems.
They also have the opportunity at this age to apply for and go on
international trips and participate in a variety of international events.
The program encourages girls to challenge themselves with respect to
life and getting along with others.
As the young women come to the end of the Pathfinder Program it doesn't
mean that it is the end of the fun, challenges, and opportunities that
they have become accustomed to. They are now able to look forward to
the opportunities that make up the Senior Branches.
